Your smile goes through a lot every single day. Over time, factors like drinking coffee, tea, and red wine, eating dark-colored foods, tobacco use, and simply the natural aging process can leave your teeth looking dull, yellowed, or deeply stained. If you find yourself hiding your smile in photos, it’s time for a refresh.

At Moreno Beach Dental, Dr. Myung Kee Park, FAGD, and our dedicated cosmetic team can help you turn back the clock on your enamel. We offer the industry's most trusted, professional-grade whitening systems to deliver dramatic results safely and comfortably. We are proud to provide these immediate, confidence-boosting treatments to patients throughout Moreno Valley, Riverside, Perris, Beaumont, Redlands, Loma Linda, and Grand Terrace.

Ditch the Drugstore Strips

If you have ever tried over-the-counter whitening strips or generic toothpastes, you already know they often promise a lot but deliver very little. Drugstore products use weak, diluted bleaching agents that take weeks to show minimal changes, and their ill-fitting strips frequently leak gel onto your gums, causing painful irritation.

Professional teeth whitening at Moreno Beach Dental is entirely different. We use prescription-strength bleaching formulas that safely penetrate your enamel to break up deep-set molecular stains. Best of all, your treatment is supervised by dental professionals, ensuring your gums are protected and your results are brilliantly even.

Our Premium Teeth Whitening Options

Because every smile is unique, we offer three distinct whitening methods to fit your lifestyle, budget, and sensitivity levels:

  • ZOOM!® In-Office Teeth Whitening

If you have a wedding, graduation, or special event coming up and need immediate results, ZOOM! is the ultimate solution.

    • How it works: We apply a specialized, high-concentration bleaching gel to your teeth and activate it with the proprietary ZOOM! advanced LED light. The light accelerates the stain-breaking process.
    • The Result: In just one comfortable office visit (usually about 45 to 60 minutes), your teeth can become up to 8 shades whiter!

  • Opalescence® In-Office Whitening

For patients who want stunning, immediate results but have a history of tooth sensitivity, we highly recommend the Opalescence® Boost system.

    • How it works: Unlike ZOOM!, Opalescence is chemically activated. This means it does not require a hot LED light or laser to work. The powerful gel contains potassium nitrate and fluoride, which actually help improve the health of your enamel and drastically reduce sensitivity during the bleaching process.
    • The Result: A brilliantly white, glowing smile achieved in about an hour, with maximum comfort from start to finish.

  • Custom At-Home Whitening Kits

Prefer to whiten your teeth in the comfort of your own home, or want to maintain your in-office results? Our professional take-home kits are the perfect fit.

    • How it works: We take digital impressions of your teeth to create custom-fitted plastic whitening trays. We will provide you with syringes of professional-grade whitening gel and instructions on how to use them safely at home.
    • The Result: Because the trays are custom-molded to your exact bite, the gel stays exactly where it belongs—on your teeth, not your gums. You can achieve dramatic, professional-level whitening by wearing the trays for just a short time each day over a couple of weeks.

FAQs

Does professional teeth whitening cause tooth sensitivity?
Some patients do experience mild, temporary sensitivity to hot or cold temperatures for a day or two after treatment. However, because we offer options like Opalescence (which contains built-in desensitizing ingredients) and carefully protect your gums during in-office treatments, we can significantly minimize this discomfort. If you have naturally sensitive teeth, let us know so we can tailor the treatment to you!
How long will my whitening results last?
Teeth whitening is not permanent, but professional results can last anywhere from one to three years depending on your daily habits. Limiting staining foods and drinks (like coffee, berries, and wine), quitting smoking, and maintaining a great brushing routine will keep your smile brighter for much longer. You can also use your custom at-home trays for occasional touch-ups!
Will teeth whitening work on all types of stains?
Professional whitening works wonders on "extrinsic" stains—those caused by food, drinks, and age. However, "intrinsic" stains—which are deep inside the tooth caused by certain medications (like tetracycline), trauma, or excessive fluoride during childhood—do not always respond well to bleaching. If you have these deep stains, Dr. Park may recommend Cosmetic Bonding or Porcelain Veneers to achieve your desired look.
Can I whiten my crowns, veneers, or tooth-colored fillings?
No. Whitening gels are only effective on natural tooth enamel. They will not change the color of porcelain crowns, veneers, or composite fillings. If you are planning to have restorative work done, we usually recommend whitening your teeth first, so Dr. Park can color-match your new crown or filling to your newly brightened smile!
